ガバナー【Group Study Exchange 2002-2003】

1965年から実施されているロータリー財団の国際交流プログラムであるGSE(Group Study Exchange :研究グループ交換)は、これまでの間に全世界では約8500チーム、日本では338チームが海外に出かけて、貴重な職業研修やホームスティの経験をしています。当地区に於いては1970～72年度から始まり、現在までに延べ24年間に亘ってこれを実施してきました。
このプログラムは異なる2つの国がお互いに、ロータリアンのリーダーの下、事業や専門職務に携わる若い男女がチームを組んで、相手地区での職業研修活動や約一ヶ月間のホームスティを通じて、異文化や習慣を学び、国際理解、親善、友好関係を深めるものであります。

さて、当地区は、本年度も第6250地区（アメリカ　ウィスコンシン州）との間で、GSEプログラムを実施いたします。今回は、2年度をかけて1プログラムを行う計画で、本年度は、第6250地区GSEチームの受入を致しますが、今回、地区初の試みと致しまして、HPを開設し、受入の様子をリアルタイムで地区内外の方にご紹介することと致しました。より多くの方にこの受入の様子をご覧頂き、このプログラムへの関心とご理解を深めていただく一助となれば幸です。受入に当たりましては各クラブに色々とご協力を頂くことになりますが、どうぞ宜しく御願い申し上げます。

The Group Study Exchange (GSE) was established in 1965 by the Rotary International. Since then 8500 teams have made international exchanges visits.
These GSEs have provided valuable vocational visits and home stay experiences.
Our district began participating in the program in the 1970 fiscal year.
In this program teams from different countries under the team leaders are able toexperience a variety of specific vocational visits tailored to both male and female teammembers.
In addition to this all team members, through homestays, are able to experiencecultural insights, international understanding and goodwill, and friendly relationships withtheir hosts.
It is the time that we warmly welcome the team from District 6250 (Wisconsin, U.S.A.) as a Group Study Exchange visit. In previous exchanges we have made mutual visitsin the same fiscal year. However, this time we are planning to only receive a teamthis year, and send our team next year. It is our first experience and a trial to organizethe GSE in this way. Also as a first, we have set up this home page to introducethe team from District 6250 (Wisconsin), and the program for their visit, to rotariansthrough out the world. This will allow visitors to the site to keep up to date with detailsof the exchange in real time.
For this to be successful, I am asking all rotarians in our district for their cooperation.
