2590地区は川崎の南方、580平方メートル、又は約220平方マイルの地域に63クラブを擁しています。曾て東海道の一宿場であった川崎は今や古さと近代性の異様な混じり合いの近代都市であります。
川崎は川崎大師平間寺に間近く新年三ヶ日中、日本人の第二位の最大詣でのお寺であります。川崎の西、鶴見は総持寺が近くにあります。大変有名な禅寺の一つであります。
南の方向に江戸末期に開港した横浜国際海港があります。
横浜は多くの興味深い場所があり、非常に国際的豊かな雰囲気があります。
私はGSEチーム団長としてルイジアナ訪問を大いに楽しみました。そして私は貴チームも同様にきっと楽しくあるように全力を尽くします。

Introduction to Yokohama and Kawasaki

We greatly anticipate welcoming your GSE team to our district 2590 in March 2003.
District 2590 has 63 clubs in an area of about 580 square kilometers or 220 squaremiles, south of Kawasaki. Once a check point on the Tokaido hightway, Kawasaki isnow a major industrial city with an uncanny blend of the ancient and modern. Kawasaki is home to Kawasaki Daishi Temple, the second most visited temple byJapanese on New Year's Day.
To the west of Kawasaki, Tsurumi is home to Sojiji Temple, a very famous Zen Buddhisttemple. To the south lies the international seaport of Yokohama which opened aroundthe end of the Edo period. Yokohama has many interesting sights and a very colorfulinternational atmosphere.
I greatly enjoyed my visit to Louisiana as the leader of our GSE team, and I will makeevery effort to ensure your team's visit is just as enjoyable.
